Network Security Engineer | Contract | Up to $1200/day

About the Role
You will be embedded in a well-established Cyber Security Operations team, this role gives you genuine technical ownership of the Akamai platform alongside broader support across Zscaler and Proofpoint email security. You'll be acting as the technical lead on P1/P2 incidents involving internet-facing services - this isn't a background support seat, it's front and centre when it matters!
What You'll Be Doing

Owning the Akamai platform end-to-end - onboarding, configuration, policy management, and lifecycle of WAF and API Security.

Supporting and troubleshooting Zscaler and Proofpoint as part of the broader security technology estate.

Building automation using Akamai APIs, Terraform or similar tooling to reduce manual configuration risk.

Partnering with SOC, Incident Response, Security Architecture, infrastructure and project teams across BAU and project work.

Investigating platform and security incidents, resolving network issues, and implementing remediation.
Experience Needed:

Hands-on Akamai + WAF experience (essential)

Zscaler / Proofpoint (or similar DLP / email security tooling)

Experience in large enterprise environments
