Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced

Network Security Engineer

to design, implement, maintain, and support enterprise network security infrastructure. The role will focus on firewall administration, network security, Fortinet technologies, security monitoring, troubleshooting, and implementation of secure network solutions.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with

Fortinet security solutions

, enterprise firewalls, network security architecture, security policies, VPNs, and incident troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

Network Security

• Design, implement, configure, and maintain enterprise network security solutions.

• Manage and administer network security infrastructure including firewalls, VPNs, and security appliances.

• Develop and maintain firewall policies, NAT rules, security zones, and access controls.

• Monitor network security events and identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.

• Troubleshoot network and security incidents and implement corrective actions.

Fortinet Technologies

• Configure and administer

  FortiGate

  firewalls and FortiOS.

• Manage Fortinet security policies, routing, VPNs, NAT, and security profiles.

• Support FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer environments.

• Monitor Fortinet security events, logs, and reports.

• Participate in Fortinet solution implementations, upgrades, and migrations.

• Provide technical support for Fortinet security products and solutions.

Security Implementation

• Implement secure network architectures based on business and security requirements.

• Configure site-to-site and remote-access VPN solutions.

• Implement network segmentation and access-control mechanisms.

• Support security hardening and configuration standards.

• Ensure network security solutions comply with organizational security policies.

Professional Services

• Participate in network security implementation and professional services engagements.

• Gather technical requirements from customers and stakeholders.

• Prepare technical designs, implementation plans, and configuration documentation.

• Conduct solution deployment, testing, troubleshooting, and handover.

• Provide technical guidance and support to customers and internal teams.

Monitoring & Incident Response

• Monitor firewall and network security infrastructure for security events.

• Investigate connectivity and security incidents.

• Analyze logs and security alerts.

• Support vulnerability remediation and security improvement initiatives.

• Escalate major security incidents and coordinate resolution with relevant teams.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare network diagrams, technical designs, configuration documents, and operational procedures.

• Maintain firewall and network security documentation.

• Prepare incident, performance, and security reports.

• Maintain change and configuration records.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with network, infrastructure, cybersecurity, application, and IT operations teams.

• Coordinate with vendors and technology partners.

• Provide technical mentoring and knowledge transfer to junior engineers.

• Participate in security projects, upgrades, and technology transformation initiatives.

Required Experience

• 5+ years of experience

  in network security engineering or a related role.

• Strong hands-on experience with enterprise firewall technologies.

• Strong experience with

  Fortinet / FortiGate

  solutions.

• Experience in firewall policy management, VPN, routing, NAT, and network security.

• Experience with network troubleshooting and security incident resolution.

• Experience in customer-facing or professional services environments is preferred.
