About the role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nurse Manager to lead Williamstown Emergency Department and Drive the delivery of safe, high quality and patient centered Care.

In this role, you will be responsible for the operational, professional and clinical management of the Emergency Department, ensuring the effective and efficient use of people and resources.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide strong operational, professional and clinical leadership across the Emergency Department, ensuring safe, high-quality and patient-centred care.

• Lead, support and develop nursing staff to foster a positive, inclusive and high-performing team culture.

• Effectively manage staffing, workforce planning and departmental resources to meet service demands and optimise patient flow.

• Build strong partnerships with medical, allied health and broader hospital teams to promote collaborative multidisciplinary care.

• Drive quality improvement, clinical governance, risk management and service development initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and operational performance

About you:

• Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration and relevant postgraduate qualifications in emergency nursing or health management.

• Demonstrated leadership and management experience within an Emergency Department or similarly complex acute care environment.

• Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of contemporary emergency nursing practice, clinical governance and patient safety.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to lead and influence a diverse multidisciplinary team.

• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, respond effectively to operational challenges and drive continuous improvement.
