Nursery Nurse Apprentice

Responsibilities

• Assist qualified nursery staff in delivering engaging activities that promote children’s learning and development

• Support children with their daily routines, including meal times, naps, and playtime

• Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized nursery environment in compliance with health and safety regulations

• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a positive experience for all

• Observe and record children’s progress, sharing insights with senior staff to support individual development plans

• Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance your childcare skills and knowledge

• Follow all nursery policies and procedures to uphold high standards of care and safety

Skills

• Strong leadership qualities to support team collaboration and child supervision

• Working with children or in childcare settings is highly desirable

• Excellent communication skills in English to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues

• Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and enthusiasm when engaging with young children

• Valid driving license is preferred but not essential .

• Willingness to learn, grow professionally, and undertake relevant qualifications during the apprenticeship

Pay: £8.00-£12.71 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 per week
