Job description

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced QA/QC Engineer to ensure that project activities, materials, equipment, and documentation comply with approved quality standards and project requirements. The ideal candidate should have strong experience with KAHRAMAA specifications, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), material inspections, NCR management, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and quality documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor project quality control procedures in accordance with approved Quality Plans and project specifications.

  • Ensure compliance with KAHRAMAA specifications, standards, and requirements.

  • Prepare, review, and implement Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and inspection procedures.

  • Coordinate and conduct inspections of materials, equipment, and installation activities.

  • Review material certificates, inspection reports, test certificates, and other quality-related documents.

  • Coordinate Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) with vendors, manufacturers, clients, and consultants.

  • Coordinate and monitor Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and related inspection activities.

  • Identify quality issues and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions.

  • Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), including investigation, corrective actions, and closure.

  • Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, vendors, clients, and consultants on quality matters.

  • Monitor compliance of construction and installation activities with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and ITPs.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality records and documentation.

  • Prepare quality reports, inspection reports, punch lists, and other required documentation.

  • Participate in quality meetings and follow up on outstanding quality-related actions.

  • Support project teams in achieving quality objectives and successful project completion.

Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant QA/QC experience in construction, power transmission, substation, or EPC projects.

  • Strong knowledge of KAHRAMAA specifications and requirements.

  • Proven experience preparing and implementing Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).

  • Experience in material inspection and verification.

  • Strong experience in NCR management and closure.

  • Experience coordinating Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).

  • Experience with Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).

  • Strong knowledge of quality documentation, inspection records, and quality reporting.

  • Ability to review technical documents, drawings, specifications, and inspection requirements.

  • Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

  • Good knowledge of quality management principles and inspection procedures.

Preferred

  • GCC/Qatar experience in power transmission or substation projects.

  • Experience with 132kV/220kV GIS substation projects.

  • Experience working on EPC projects.

  • Experience with KAHRAMAA-approved projects or utility infrastructure.

  • Relevant QA/QC certifications will be an advantage.

  • Candidates currently available in Qatar will be preferred.
