Palantir Foundry Data Engineer

Location: Abu Dhabi

Duration: Yearly renewable contract

The Role

The goal of a Forward Deployed Software Engineer (FDE) is to work with Abu Dhabi Government to quickly understand their greatest problems and design and implement solutions that use data effectively to address them

Required Skills

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, platform engineering, or technical delivery roles.

• Hands-on experience working with large-scale data platforms, including platforms such as Foundry, or similar enterprise systems used for data integration, modeling, and operational analytics.

• Strong engineering background, preferred in fields such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or Data Science.

• A highly analytical mindset and eagerness to solve technical problems involving data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, front-end frameworks, and other technical tools.

• Experience or interest in working with and using large-scale data to solve meaningful operational or public-sector problems.

• Strong coding skills with proficiency in Python, Java, C++, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar programming languages.

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in teams of technical and non-technical individuals, and comfort working in a rapidly changing environment with dynamic objectives and frequent iteration.

• Ability to continuously learn, work independently, and make decisions with minimal supervision
