We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Part Time Senior Accountant to join our finance team. Responsibilities

Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.

Reconcile general ledger accounts regularly through detailed journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and account reconciliations using accounting software such as PeopleSoft or QuickBooks.

Conduct bank reconciliations and manage accounts receivable processes to ensure timely collections and accurate cash flow analysis.

Support budgeting activities by assisting with forecast development, budget variance analysis, and financial data interpretation using Excel data analysis techniques like VLOOKUP functions and spreadsheet modeling.

Ensure regulatory compliance by adhering to internal controls, securities law requirements, and non-profit accounting standards andregulations.

Assist with internal audits and external audits by preparing documentation, supporting audit inquiries, and implementing recommendations for financial process improvements.

Mentor junior team members on technical accounting concepts including double entry bookkeeping, accrual accounting, and financial report writing to foster professional growth within the team.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.

Extensive experience in financial accounting within public accounting firms, non-profit or corporate finance environments.

Strong knowledge of GAAP, regulatory compliance accounting, and technical accounting principles such as nonprofit accounting is a plus.

Proficiency with financial software including QuickBooks, PeopleSoft, Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), and other financial management tools.

Demonstrated ability in financial analysis, journal entries creation, general ledger reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation.

Experience with governmental accounting standards or non-profit accounting practices is highly desirable.

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately; proficiency in Excel data analysis functions like VLOOKUP is essential.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a part-time schedule while maintaining high-quality work standards.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
