Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized

Senior Payroll Administrator

to support end-to-end payroll processing for employees across the United States and Canada. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with

ADP

and

Workday

, strong knowledge of multi-state and provincial U.S. and Canadian payroll regulations, and a commitment to delivering accurate, confidential, and exceptional payroll services.

This role requires a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, manages multiple priorities effectively, and collaborates closely with HR, Finance, and business partners.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Processing

  • Process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll for U.S. and Canadian employees using ADP and Workday.

  • Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and special payments.

  • Review and validate timekeeping data and resolve discrepancies with managers and employees.

  • Maintain payroll schedules, processing calendars, and deadlines.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure payroll compliance with federal, state, provincial, and local regulations in the U.S. and Canada.

  • Prepare and reconcile payroll reports and year-end documents, including W-2s, T4s, and Records of Employment (ROEs).

  • Support internal and external audits by providing payroll documentation and responding to inquiries.

  • Monitor regulatory changes and implement updates to payroll practices as needed.

Systems & Data Management

  • Maintain payroll and employee records in ADP and Workday, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.

  • Assist with payroll system updates, testing, troubleshooting, and process improvements.

  • Partner with HR and Finance to maintain data integrity across systems.

Employee Support

  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, taxes, deductions, timekeeping, and payroll policies.

  • Provide outstanding customer service and resolve payroll issues in a timely manner.

  • Escalate complex payroll matters appropriately and recommend solutions.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of payroll experience, including U.S. and Canadian payroll processing.

  • Experience processing multi-state payroll.

  • Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now or comparable ADP payroll platforms.

  • Experience using Workday Payroll modules.

  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, taxes, compliance, and reporting.

  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are important.

  • Experience processing Canadian payroll and multi-province payroll.

  • CPP, FPC, or equivalent payroll certification.

  • Experience supporting audits and year-end payroll activities.

  • LATAM experience would be a plus.
