Project Pulse UAE is a UAE-based Project Management Consultancy specializing in residential and commercial projects. We work closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are effectively planned, controlled, and delivered in line with approved timelines, budgets, and quality requirements.
Role Description
We are looking for an experienced Planning & Cost Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi.
This is a full-time, office-based role responsible for project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, cost control, and reporting across ongoing projects.
Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera.

Monitor project progress against approved baseline schedules and identify delays, critical activities, and potential risks.

Prepare progress updates, look-ahead schedules, dashboards, and management reports.

Coordinate with Project Managers, consultants, contractors, and project teams to ensure accurate schedule updates.

Prepare and monitor project budgets, cost forecasts, cash flows, and cost reports.

Perform cost variance analysis and identify potential cost overruns.

Track commitments, actual costs, forecasts, and project financial performance.

Review contractor and supplier quotations and support commercial and procurement evaluations.

Support change control, risk assessment, and corrective action planning.

Provide clear and accurate planning and cost information to support management decision-making.
Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelorโs degree in Civil Engineering.

Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in planning and cost control within the construction industry.

Strong proficiency in Primavera is mandatory.

Good knowledge of MS Excel and project reporting tools.

Good Experience with digital ERP Systems.

Strong understanding of project scheduling, cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Good knowledge of construction processes, contracts, procurement, and project lifecycle.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.

Ability to prepare clear, professional reports and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Previous experience in residential and/or commercial construction projects is preferred.

UAE experience is an advantage.
