Overview

Join our innovative engineering team as a Powertrain Calibration & Software Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in developing, testing, and optimizing advanced powertrain control systems for performance vehicles while overseeing emissions compliance, third-party testing coordination, and technical document processing.

Duties

  • Develop and implement calibration strategies for engine and transmission control units using specialized software tools.

  • Conduct root cause analysis on powertrain performance issues, identifying and resolving software or hardware discrepancies efficiently.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards like ASME codes & durability.

  • Utilize ATI Vision to perform calibration changes and testing with emulated modules.

  • Manage project scheduling and coordination across cross-functional teams to meet development milestones in engineering product development projects.

  • Lead troubleshooting efforts through detailed data analysis and root cause investigations during vehicle testing phases.

  • Execute calibration and software development for active and upcoming OEM-adjacent programs.

  • Support the process to obtain Executive Orders (EOs) or updates/revisions from CARB as requested.

  • Facilitate vehicle emissions and powertrain testing through third-party suppliers as needed.

  • Maintain compliance with the vehicle operation policies for on-road testing

Skills

  • Extensive experience with project management tools for scheduling and tracking development tasks, direct JIRA experience preferred.

  • Strong cross-functional communication skills to collaborate effectively with software developers, mechanical engineers, manufacturing teams, and suppliers.

  • Demonstrated background in engine powertrain calibration, software development, and CARB/EPA emissions testing processes.

  • Valid driver's license clear for public road driving and proof of insurance meeting the company standards to operate company test vehicles.

Pay: $40.00 - $70.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 โ€“ 40.0 per week
