Principal AI Forward Deployed Engineer – Life Sciences

Location: Remote – LATAM (Latin America Region)

Employment Type: Full-Time / Contract

About the Role

• We are seeking an experienced and visionary AI Full Stack Engineer to build next-generation, AI-driven applications across Commercial Pharma, Regulatory Affairs, and Clinical Ops domains.

• In this role, you will bridge modern full-stack development with cutting-edge GenAI models (ChatGPT/OpenAI, Claude, Llama) and agentic workflows. Whether your strength lies in Pharmacovigilance AI Automation, HEOR/RWE Data Engines, Marketing Ops workflows, or Agentic CRM integrations (Veeva / Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud), we want to hear from you!

• Note: We welcome candidates who bring deep engineering strength combined with at least 1 or 2 core pharma domain exposures listed below.

Key Responsibilities & Domain Track Options

(Candidates will lead or contribute to projects in one or more of the following operational tracks based on experience)

1. Commercial & Marketing Ops Track:

o Build AI-enabled tools to streamline promotional material reviews, campaign operations, and HCP engagement tracking.

o Integrate LLM workflows into Veeva Vault Promomats, Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud, or custom CRM platforms.

2. Regulatory & Submissions Track:

o Architect automated pipelines for regulatory compliance, document summarization, and APLB (Advertising and Promotional Labeling Branch) submission drafting.

o Ensure strict data provenance, compliance tracking, and audit-trail logging.

3. HEOR & RWE Analytics Track:

o Build full-stack visualization tools and natural language query interfaces over Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) and Real-World Evidence (RWE) datasets.

o Implement automated literature review agents using GenAI.

4. Pharmacovigilance & Drug Safety Track:

o Develop AI agents to assist in signal detection, adverse event (AE) intake processing, case narratives generation, and safety report triage.

Technical & AI Core Requirements

• Full-Stack Engineering:

o Frontend: React.js, Next.js, Vue.js, or TypeScript.

o Backend: Python (FastAPI, Django, Flask), Node.js, or Go.

o Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS, Azure, or GCP; Docker, Kubernetes, Serverless architectures.

• GenAI & Model Applications:

o Hands-on experience integrating APIs from OpenAI (ChatGPT), Anthropic (Claude), Cohere, or open-source models via Hugging Face / vLLM.

o Deep understanding of RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Qdrant, PGVector), and prompt engineering.

o Experience with AI Frameworks: LangChain, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, CrewAI.

• Agentic Frameworks & CRM Integration:

o Exposure to building or configuring Agentic CRM workflows, Veeva Vault / Veeva CRM, or Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud / Agentforce.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Health Informatics, or related technical field.

• Experience: 4+ years of full-stack software development with at least 1-2+ years dedicated to AI/LLM applications.

• Domain Exposure (At least 1 or 2 required):

o Commercial Pharma Marketing Ops

o Regulatory Compliance / APLB

o HEOR & Real-World Evidence (RWE)

o Pharmacovigilance (PV) & Drug Safety

o Veeva / Salesforce Agentic CRM systems

• Languages: Professional fluency in English (required). Spanish or Portuguese fluency is a strong plus for LATAM candidates.
