We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Software platform Engineer who has built products from scratch to end to end full life cycle - 100% remote role for a total remote engagement with a client headquartered in Boston, MA. We are seeking a hands-on Principal Software Engineer to design, build, and operationalize scalable data solutions that drive business outcomes. This role combines deep software engineering expertise with modern data engineering practices to assess data patterns, architect data pipelines, and deliver production-ready platforms and services.

The ideal candidate has a strong balance of open-source development and commercial data platform experience, leveraging technologies such as Python, AWS (EC2 and cloud-native services), APIs, and automation frameworks, while also utilizing tools such as Fivetran, dbt, and modern data integration platforms. This individual will be responsible for evaluating the best implementation approach, developing robust solutions, and ensuring operational excellence through monitoring, reliability, and scalability.

Key Skills:

• Python Product development and automation

• API integration and service-based architectures

• AWS/cloud-native data solutions (EC2, storage, compute, orchestration)

• Expeirnece in Snowflake is a huge plus

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical data product solutions

This is a highly technical, hands-on role focused on delivering and operationalizing enterprise-grade data products and platforms.
