About Acadeum

Founded in 2016, Acadeum helps colleges and universities expand course access, support student progress, streamline administration, and create new revenue opportunities. Today, more than 500 institutions use Acadeum’s course-sharing platform.

About the Role

Acadeum is seeking a Product Manager to lead planning and execution for emerging solutions focused on transfer pathways, credit mobility, institutional data exchange, and student academic planning.

You’ll work closely with Engineering, Design, Partner Success, institutional stakeholders, and external partners to turn complex higher education workflows into intuitive products. This includes initiatives such as the NCICU Transfer Pathways Portal, which helps students explore transfer options, review academic history and potential credit applicability, and connect with participating institutions.

You’ll bridge higher education policy and technical implementation while driving initiatives from discovery through launch and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate customer and partner feedback into actionable problem statements

  • Write high-quality PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria

  • Collaborate with UX Designers on research, wireframes, and usability testing

  • Conduct competitive analysis and market research

  • Maintain and prioritize backlog aligned to roadmap

  • Partner with Engineering on sprint planning and scope trade-offs

  • Ensure releases meet defined success criteria

  • Participate in QA validation and UAT

  • Work with Partner Success and Support to identify recurring pain points

  • Enable Marketing with positioning, messaging, and feature documentation

  • Assist with launch planning and internal training

  • Define success metrics for features

  • Monitor product usage and adoption data

  • Iterate based on performance insights

Requirements and Competencies:

  • 3+ years of Product Management experience, or equivalent experience through work, training, or education.

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and sprint planning.

  • Comfortable using AI tools and workflows.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data (qualitative and quantitative) to drive prioritization.

  • Demonstrated ability to write clear, actionable PRDs, tickets, bug reports, and user stories.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business requirements.

  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment (Engineering, Design, Marketing, Sales).

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fluid, fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
