Product Manager

Bradford

Full-time | Permanent

Are you a commercially minded Product Manager who enjoys turning market opportunities into successful products? We’re looking for an experienced Product Manager to join Bowers Group and play a key role in developing and managing our product portfolio. This is a broad and commercially focused role, where you’ll have the opportunity to influence the direction of our products from initial development and New Product Introduction through to launch, ongoing development and eventual phase-out. You’ll use your understanding of the market, competitor activity and customer needs to identify opportunities, strengthen our product offering and support continued business growth.

Working closely with the Managing Director, Sales, Purchasing and Marketing teams, you’ll play a key role in bringing new products to market. You’ll ensure products are commercially viable, appropriately priced and supported by the right technical information, certifications, marketing materials and training, while also helping to manage stock and minimise commercial risk.

You’ll also become a key source of product knowledge within Bowers, providing technical guidance and support to our UK and Export Sales teams and wider business. This will include developing and delivering product training, supporting customer presentations and working with colleagues to identify and progress product improvements and development opportunities.

We’re looking for someone with experience in Product Management or Product Development within a technical environment, ideally with experience of bringing new products to market and managing products throughout their lifecycle. A strong commercial awareness is important, as is the ability to understand technical information and communicate it clearly to different audiences.

You’ll need to be organised, self-motivated and comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy. Strong communication, relationship management and negotiation skills are essential, together with the ability to manage competing priorities, make sound decisions and identify opportunities for improvement.

The role is based at our Bradford site, Monday to Friday, and will involve some UK and international travel, including supplier visits and attendance at trade shows and exhibitions. A full UK driving licence is required.

If this sounds like the right role for you, we’d love to hear from you. Please send your CV to careers@spearandjacksongroup.com, along with a brief note telling us why you’re interested in the role along with your salary expectations for the role.
