Job description

About The Role

The Product Manager will own strategy, roadmap, and execution for a developer platform that provides APIs, workflow orchestration, observability, and infrastructure services to product engineering teams. The role translates customer and business needs into clear technical requirements and measurable product outcomes.

This role matters because reliable platform capabilities directly determine how quickly engineering teams can ship secure, scalable software. The Product Manager will work closely with engineering, design, data, security, and go-to-market teams to make complex infrastructure easier to adopt and operate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain the product vision, quarterly roadmap, and prioritization framework for platform capabilities across APIs, SDKs, internal tooling, and developer workflows

  • Translate customer research, usage data, and technical constraints into product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and launch plans in tools such as Jira, Linear, or Notion

  • Partner with engineering leads and architects to scope REST and GraphQL APIs, event-driven services, authentication flows, observability requirements, and reliability targets

  • Drive execution from discovery through release, managing dependencies, tradeoffs, risks, and decision logs across multiple engineering squads

  • Establish product metrics using SQL, Amplitude, Mixpanel, or comparable analytics tools; monitor adoption, latency, error rates, developer activation, and retention

  • Lead customer and internal stakeholder reviews, convert feedback into actionable backlog improvements, and communicate roadmap decisions with clear rationale

  • Coordinate launches with documentation, SDK updates, migration plans, enablement materials, support readiness, and post-release performance reviews

What We Are Looking For

  • 3–8 years of product management experience, including ownership of technical, platform, API, infrastructure, or developer-focused products

  • Demonstrated experience taking complex software products from problem definition through launch and iteration in an agile engineering environment

  • Strong technical fluency with APIs, cloud infrastructure, distributed systems concepts, data models, authentication, and observability; able to collaborate effectively with senior engineers

  • Experience using product analytics and experimentation to define success metrics, evaluate adoption, and make prioritization decisions

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce concise product requirements, executive updates, and technical documentation

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

  • Bonus: experience with developer platforms, Kubernetes, AWS or GCP, SQL, GraphQL, event streaming systems such as Kafka, or AI/ML infrastructure products
