About the job

gTech Risk helps protect Google and its users by identifying and implementing controls for significant risks. To ensure gTech's security and agility, the team analyzes gTech business processes to find control gaps, collaborates with stakeholders to resolve these gaps, and provides risk expertise to engineer solutions.

gTech Risk Solutions Engineering is executing a transformation from a reactive manual process led organization to a proactive engineering powerhouse. Operating as a federated security partner to Google's central security organizations, we design and build contextualized security solutions tailored specifically for the gTech business ecosystem. Our mission is upfront risk prevention through technical delivery excellence, shifting the paradigm from unsustainable "risk-chasing" to "prevention by design."

As the Product Manager (Portfolio Lead) within gTech Risk Solutions Engineering, you will lead the product strategy, goals, and roadmap for our internal risk-prevention and security software portfolio. Operating within our horizontal leadership layer ("The Weaving Layer"), you will connect business risk requirements with technical software execution.

You will drive the productization and platformization of our proprietary tools, including our automation and orchestration platform and our agentic security interfaces. Your core mission is to transform internal risk tools into scalable, high-throughput products that automate access governance, vulnerability auto-mitigation, endpoint protection, and AI guardrails.

You will partner closely with our Functional Engineering (Strategy and Design) and Operational Engineering (Build and Fulfill) pods, as well as central security product teams (PSS). You will author comprehensive PRDs, define product milestones, and ensure our security tooling provides "secure paths to yes" that enable operational velocity across gTech without compromising risk principles. The Global Business Organization (GBO) is the engine that powers Google’s full ecosystem of products and services to help customers and partners succeed and grow. GBO includes the commercial arms of Ads sellers, business development teams, and customer services and support, as well as overlay programs that enable coordinated engagement with Google's most complex and important customers and partners.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
