Job description

About CherryPitch

CherryPitch is a fundraising intelligence platform for early-stage founders. The product helps early-stage founders understand how investors will read their pitch deck, get matched to investors whose thesis aligns with what they're building, and run their raise with integrated tools.

Underneath the product is the real asset: structured data on investors. Who they are, what they actually fund, at what stage, at what check size, and when they're deploying. Nobody has built this from the founder's side before. Everyone else builds for investors looking at startups; we build for founders looking at investors. That dataset is the company.

CherryPitch is hiring its first product manager.

About the Role

This person owns the investor data asset and the product decisions that shape it.

That means deciding what data is worth collecting and why, what makes coverage valuable; turning loose business intent into small, sequenced, testable engineering work, then making sure it actually ships.

The role reports directly to the founder and works day to day with the engineering lead, who owns technical execution and release mechanics. You decide what ships and in what order. Engineering team figures out how.

Responsibilities

  • Own the investor data roadmap: coverage, quality, sourcing, and what makes the dataset defensible

  • Own free-to-paid conversion, working with the sales lead on diagnosis and with engineering on the fixes

  • Turn business goals into the smallest valuable increment that can ship this week, not the complete version that ships in six

  • Own release sequencing: what goes out, in what order, and whether it's genuinely done

  • Run customer interviews with founders and turn them into product decisions

  • Build and own the dashboards and analysis that tell us whether any of it is working

  • Pressure-test strategy with the founder, including disagreeing with him

Qualifications

  • Product management experience with a

venture capital operations or back-office background

. You have worked with fund data, close dates, check sizes, LP or portfolio records, deal flow, or investor CRM, and you know what exists, what's obtainable, and what's reliable.

  • A track record of shipping small and often. You can point to something you deliberately built crude to learn from, and to scope you killed even though someone wanted it.

  • You own delivery, not just planning. You make things happen, not just maintained a backlog.

  • Hands-on with data. You build the dashboard yourself in the BI tool rather than filing a request for it.

  • You run customer conversations directly and turn them into decisions.

  • US-overlapping working hours and strong written communication across a fully remote team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience at a data or intelligence product where the dataset was the moat

  • Familiarity with the fundraising process from the founder side as well as the investor side

  • Experience as an early product hire who set up process from nothing
