Job description

Admin Platform

Product Manager

The Role

We are looking for an Admin Platform Product Manager to own the tools used by our internal teams. Your main users will be Operations, Business Development (BD), Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, and Product. You will learn how each team works, find where the work is slow or risky, and turn those needs into simple and safe Admin tools.

You will also work closely with the WebApp Product Manager. When a WebApp feature needs new settings or actions in Admin, you will define the full flow on both sides. At first, this role will focus on internal tools. Over time, some customers that buy or rent our machines may use part of the platform. You will help design a clear and safe self-service experience for them.

Who You Will Support

  • Operations: templates, homepage content, device settings, orders, shipping, and daily platform work.

  • BD and Sales: partner setup, campaigns, machine or location information, and client needs.

  • Customer Service: order search, status checks, cancellations, refunds, tracking, and issue handling.

  • Marketing: banners, campaigns, offers, content settings, and basic performance reports.

  • Product and Engineering: clear Admin rules that support WebApp releases and stable system behavior.

  • Future business customers: their own users, content, locations, and machines, within the right access limits.

What You Will Own

  • Admin roadmap and priorities.

Build a clear plan based on user needs, business risk, and company goals.

  • Business workflows.

Map each process from start to finish, including owners, rules, handoffs, and exception cases.

  • Admin and WebApp connection.

Make sure every WebApp feature has the right settings, actions, and data support in Admin.

  • Content and configuration.

Own flows for templates, themes, shapes, images, homepage sections, banners, devices, locations, coupons, and campaigns.

  • Order and shipping tools.

Support order search, order status, Ready to Ship, carrier and tracking details, cancellation, refund, and customer service actions.

  • Users and permissions.

Define clear roles for each internal team and, later, for business customers. Protect sensitive data and high-risk actions.

  • Admin UX.

Use Figma to create clear flows, wireframes, and prototypes for people who use the platform every day.

  • Release quality.

Write requirements, test in staging, lead user acceptance testing, and check results after launch.

  • SOPs and training.

Create simple guides, release notes, and training so teams can use new tools with less help from Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Talk with internal users, watch how they complete real work, and find repeated manual work, slow handoffs, and common errors.

  • Define complete workflows, including fields, status rules, permissions, approval steps, error messages, and exception paths.

  • Add validation, preview, history, and rollback when a wrong setting could affect customers or live machines.

  • Write clear product requirements with the problem, users, flow, rules, edge cases, dependencies, and acceptance criteria.

  • Work with Design, Engineering, Operations, the WebApp PM, and HQ teams on scope, timing, staging tests, and user acceptance testing.

  • Check adoption, errors, support cases, and user feedback after launch, then improve the product.

Examples of Work

  • Create a safe template flow: upload, review, publish, set display order, preview, unpublish, and rollback.

  • Build homepage controls so Operations can update content without breaking the WebApp layout.

  • Create a shipping workspace for Ready to Ship orders, carrier details, tracking, and delivery issues.

  • Improve role-based access for Operations, BD, Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, and Admin users.

  • Build order tools for search, status history, cancellation, refund, and customer support notes.

  • Plan a future partner workspace where a business customer can manage only its own machines, locations, users, and content.

What You Bring

  • 4 years+ of product management experience.

  • Experience with an Admin platform, CMS, internal tool, B2B SaaS product, e-commerce operations tool, or similar system.

  • Strong business thinking. You can understand how people, rules, data, and tools work together.

  • Strong attention to detail, especially for status rules, permissions, edge cases, and high-risk actions.

  • Experience using Figma for user flows, wireframes, or simple prototypes.

  • Ability to write clear product documents and acceptance criteria.

  • Experience working with Engineering, Design, Operations, and business teams.

  • Ability to explain complex work in simple words and keep teams aligned.

  • A user-first mindset for internal products. You care about speed, clarity, safety, and adoption.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with orders, shipping, tracking, refunds, coupons, content publishing, or device operations.

  • Experience building tools for several user roles with different permissions.

  • Experience with external client portals or multi-tenant platforms.

  • Mandarin Chinese skills are a plus, but not required.

What Success Looks Like

  • Internal teams can complete common work with less help from Engineering.

  • Admin and WebApp changes match each other and launch on time.

  • Configuration, permission, and workflow errors go down.

  • Operations and Customer Service can finish key tasks faster.

  • New features have clear owners, rules, documentation, and acceptance results.

  • The platform is ready to support future business customers without exposing the wrong data or controls.
