We are seeking an Program Manager Contractor to support product direction for a broad, fast-moving personalization platform. This role will translate business objectives into clear priorities, epics, features, and user stories across multiple engineering teams.

The ideal candidate will understand how the platform fits together across data, streaming, decisioning, rules, orchestration, and business-facing interfaces. This role requires enough technical fluency to route work to the appropriate team, identify dependencies, and break down ambiguous requests into actionable delivery plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Prioritize and maintain the product backlog across multiple platform capabilities and engineering teams.

• Translate business objectives into well-defined epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

• Support in Developing and maintain a working understanding of the end-to-end solution, including Data and data pipelines, Streaming and event processing, Decisioning and personalization, Business rules, Orchestration services, User interfaces and business-facing tools

• Determine which platform component and engineering team should address each business request.

• Break down broad or ambiguous requirements into appropriately scoped and sequenced work.

• Define clear acceptance criteria and completion expectations that minimize rework and clarification cycles.

• Coordinate sequencing, dependencies, and delivery priorities across engineering teams.

• Partner with engineering representatives to assess feasibility, delivery risks, and capacity implications.

• Use Claude and comparable AI tools to draft stories, analyze requirements, review documentation, explore technical concepts, and accelerate planning.

• Communicate priorities, trade-offs, delivery status, and decisions clearly to technical and business audiences.

• Continuously refine the backlog as the platform expands into new use cases and business areas.

• Represent business needs in planning sessions, demonstrations, roadmap discussions, and prioritization forums.

• Balance business value, technical feasibility, platform scalability, and available team capacity.

Required Qualifications

• 4-5 years of experience in product ownership or product management.

• Strong experience with backlog management, prioritization, requirements definition, and user story development.

• Experience working directly with engineering teams across multiple technical domains, such as data, machine learning, backend services, and front-end applications.

• Solid technical fluency, including the ability to read architecture diagrams and participate effectively in technical discussions.

• Ability to connect business requirements to the appropriate technical component and delivery team.

• Demonstrated ability to convert ambiguous business needs into clear, actionable, and sequenced work.

• Experience writing acceptance criteria and completion expectations for engineering delivery.

• Practical, hands-on experience using Claude or comparable AI tools in day-to-day product work.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to operate effectively in a complex, multi-team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with personalization, marketing technology, next-best-action, recommendation, or decisioning platforms.

• Experience in healthcare, insurance, financial services, or another regulated industry.

• Familiarity with streaming architectures, event-driven systems, rules engines, machine learning services, or workflow orchestration.

• Experience supporting platforms with multiple integrated technical components.

• Experience working in large-scale programs where requirements must be accurately routed across teams.

The expected pay range for this contract assignment is $60 - $70 hour. The exact pay rate will vary based on skills, experience, and location and will be determined by the third-party whose employees provide services to Deloitte.
