About the Company

A renowned UAE-based door manufacturing company is looking for experienced and motivated Estimators / Estimation Engineers / Senior Estimators to join our team.

The successful candidates will be responsible for preparing accurate project estimates, reviewing project requirements, analyzing quantities and specifications, and supporting the commercial and project teams in the preparation of competitive and technically accurate quotations.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project drawings, specifications, BOQs, tender documents and other relevant project information.

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates and quotations for projects.

• Analyze quantities, materials, specifications, labour and other project requirements.

• Prepare quantity take-offs and pricing based on project requirements.

• Obtain and evaluate material and supplier/subcontractor prices where required.

• Coordinate with the sales, technical, procurement and project teams to clarify project requirements.

• Identify discrepancies, omissions and potential cost implications in project documents.

• Ensure estimates are accurate, commercially viable and submitted within required deadlines.

• Maintain estimation records, pricing databases and relevant project documentation.

• Assist in preparing tender submissions and commercial proposals.

• Review and compare project costs against budgets and identify areas for cost optimization.

• Perform any other estimation and commercial-related duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in estimation, preferably within the door manufacturing, joinery, construction, fit-out, façade, building materials, or a related industry.

• Previous experience in project estimation and preparation of quotations is mandatory.

• Strong proficiency in MS Excel is mandatory.

• Engineering degree or diploma is preferred.

• Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret and analyze technical and commercial information.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications and BOQs is an advantage.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.

• Quick learner with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.

• Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team.

Senior Estimator – Additional Requirements

For the Senior Estimator position, candidates should additionally demonstrate:

• Strong experience handling project/tender estimations independently.

• Ability to manage multiple estimates and tenders simultaneously.

• Strong understanding of project costing, pricing and commercial requirements.

• Experience reviewing complex drawings, specifications and BOQs.

• Ability to guide junior estimators and review estimates for accuracy.

• Strong negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
