Make an impact

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Swisslog Australia team and lead the successful delivery of complex automation and intralogistics projects across the ANZ region.

In this role, you will take end-to-end responsibility for project delivery, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. You will act as a key interface between Swisslog, our customers, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams, while ensuring customer requirements and business objectives are effectively managed throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution and delivery of complex projects from initiation through to completion.

  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks and quality.

  • Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams and manage key stakeholders.

  • Build strong relationships with customers, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants.

  • Monitor project progress, costs, forecasts and financial performance.

  • Manage project risks, contractual requirements and change management.

  • Ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety, regulatory requirements and Swisslog Australia processes and standards.

  • Maintain project schedules and documentation using Microsoft Project.

  • Provide regular project updates and forecasts to Senior Management.

  • Lead project close-out, post-project reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Support the Sales and Solution Execution teams with project estimates and delivery planning.

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

  • Project Management certification or equivalent qualification.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing complex projects.

  • Experience in automation, intralogistics, manufacturing or a similar industrial environment.

  • Experience with design and build contracts and project financial control.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Project.

  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills.

  • Strong commercial, risk management and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Willingness to travel approximately 30–40% across Australia and New Zealand (ANZ).
