Tunneling Solutions is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a proven track record delivering major renewable energy infrastructure projects, ideally including utility-scale solar farms. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing organisation and play a critical role in taking a significant renewable energy project from ECI through to successful construction and commissioning.

Initially based in our Melbourne office, you will work closely with key stakeholders during the planning, design development and pre-construction phases. As the project transitions into delivery, you will relocate into a site-based position in Mortlake, VIC, taking responsibility for the safe, efficient and successful execution of the works.

About the role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will provide leadership across all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring commercial, contractual, safety and operational objectives are achieved.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading project delivery from ECI through construction and commissioning

• Managing client, consultant, subcontractor and stakeholder relationships

• Supporting design development, constructability reviews and project planning activities during ECI

• Developing and implementing project execution strategies, programs and delivery plans

• Managing project budgets, forecasting, procurement and cost control

• Driving a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with all HSE requirements

• Leading multidisciplinary site teams to achieve project milestones

• Managing contractual obligations, variations, risk and opportunity registers

• Providing regular reporting on project performance, progress and key risks

• Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives throughout delivery

About you

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering large-scale infrastructure, energy or renewable projects

• Demonstrated experience in the delivery of utility-scale solar farms or other renewable energy projects highly regarded

• Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies from ECI through to construction and commissioning

• Experience managing complex stakeholder environments and multidisciplinary teams

• Sound commercial and contractual management skills

• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving capabilities

• Ability to work collaboratively during planning phases and transition into hands-on site leadership

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
