About The Role
What if your Python expertise could directly shape the infrastructure behind next-generation AI? We're looking for a senior full-stack Python engineer to build the data pipelines, annotation tooling, and evaluation systems that leading AI labs depend on to train and improve their models.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role for an experienced engineer who wants to work on real production systems at the cutting edge of AI โ not toy projects, but high-impact infrastructure that influences how the world's most advanced models are built.

What You'll Do

Design, build, and optimize high-performance Python systems supporting AI data pipelines and evaluation workflows

Develop full-stack tooling and backend services for large-scale data annotation, validation, and quality control

Improve reliability, performance, and safety across existing Python codebases

Collaborate with data, research, and engineering teams to support model training and evaluation workflows

Identify bottlenecks and edge cases in data and system behavior, then implement scalable fixes

Participate in synchronous design reviews to iterate on architecture and implementation decisions
Who You Are

3โ5+ years of professional experience writing production-grade Python
-
Strong full-stack developer with a solid systems programming background

You write clean, maintainable code โ linters, formatters, and testing frameworks are second nature
-
Experienced in integrating AI services and APIs, handling edge cases, and building robust error reporting

A clear communicator โ both in writing and in synchronous discussions

Native or fluent English speaker

Available to commit 20โ40 hours per week

Prior experience with data annotation, data quality, or evaluation systems
