Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented QA Engineer/Automation Tester to join our innovative software development team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our diverse range of applications, including mobile and web platforms. You will leverage your expertise in automation tools and testing frameworks to streamline testing processes, identify issues early, and deliver seamless user experiences. Your proactive approach and technical proficiency will drive continuous improvement across our development lifecycle, empowering us to meet and exceed user expectations.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, and other relevant frameworks for various applications including Android, iOS, and web-based platforms.
Execute manual and automated tests on mobile applications (Android and iOS), ensuring compatibility across devices and operating systems.
Collaborate closely with developers to understand application architecture, APIs (REST), and backend systems like MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, and PL/SQL to create comprehensive test plans.
Integrate testing processes into CI/CD pipelines utilizing Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub, Azure DevOps (TFS), Maven, and other DevOps tools to promote rapid deployment cycles.
Conduct performance testing and analysis using tools compatible with cloud environments such as AWS or Azure to ensure scalability and stability under load.
Perform database validation using SQL queries and data analysis skills to verify data integrity across various database systems.
Track defects efficiently using Jira or similar issue-tracking tools while providing detailed reports for continuous quality improvements.

Qualifications

Proven experience in software testing with a strong focus on automation testing for mobile applications (Android & iOS) and web platforms.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, C++, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, PHP, Node.js, Bash (Unix shell), with hands-on experience in Selenium WebDriver or similar automation frameworks.
Solid understanding of test management tools like TFS or SVN for version control alongside Git-based repositories such as GitHub or GitLab.
Familiarity with operating systems including Windows and Linux environments; knowledge of cloud services like AWS or Azure is a plus.
Experience working with databases such as MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle; strong SQL/PL-SQL skills for data validation.
Knowledge of REST API testing and tools like Postman or similar; understanding of MVC architecture is advantageous.
Strong analysis skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues across networks, databases, applications, and operating systems.
Excellent communication skills combined with a proactive attitude towards continuous learning in software development practices including DevOps methodologies.
