QA/QC Engineer – Electrical

We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented QA/QC Engineer – Electrical with a minimum of 3 years of UAE experience in electrical construction or MEP projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical installations, materials, testing, and commissioning activities comply with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and applicable UAE regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor quality assurance and quality control procedures for electrical works.

• Conduct site inspections to ensure electrical installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.

• Prepare, review, and implement Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and Quality Control Plans.

• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and site teams for inspections, testing, and approvals.

• Inspect electrical installations, including cable laying, cable termination, cable trays, conduits, lighting systems, power distribution panels, switchgear, earthing, and lightning protection systems, as applicable to the project.

• Review electrical material submittals, technical specifications, and Material Inspection Requests (MIRs) to ensure compliance with project requirements.

• Prepare and submit Inspection Requests (IRs) and maintain accurate quality documentation.

• Monitor electrical testing activities, including insulation resistance testing, continuity testing, earth resistance testing, and other applicable tests.

• Identify non-conformities, raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.

• Ensure electrical works comply with approved project specifications, applicable UAE regulations, and relevant international standards.

• Maintain inspection reports, test records, material approvals, and quality documentation for project handover.

• Participate in quality audits and coordinate with project teams to resolve quality-related issues.

• Support testing, commissioning, and final inspection activities to ensure successful project completion.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

• Minimum 3 years of relevant UAE experience in electrical QA/QC is mandatory.

• Previous experience in electrical construction, MEP, or related engineering projects.

• Strong knowledge of electrical installation, inspection, testing, and quality control procedures.

• Hands-on experience with ITPs, Method Statements, IRs, MIRs, NCRs, and quality documentation.

• Familiarity with applicable UAE authority requirements and relevant electrical standards.

• Good communication, coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to coordinate effectively with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and project teams.
