QA/QC Engineer – Mechanical

We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented QA/QC Engineer – Mechanical with a minimum of 3 years of UAE experience in mechanical construction, MEP, or related engineering projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all mechanical works, materials, installations, and testing activities comply with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and applicable UAE regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor quality assurance and quality control procedures for mechanical works.

• Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, and method statements.

• Prepare, review, and implement Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and Quality Control Plans.

• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and site teams for inspections and approvals.

• Inspect mechanical installations, including HVAC systems, ductwork, piping, plumbing, firefighting systems, and equipment installations, as applicable to the project.

• Review material submittals, technical specifications, and material inspection requests to ensure compliance with project requirements.

• Prepare and submit Inspection Requests (IRs), Material Inspection Requests (MIRs), and quality-related documentation.

• Monitor testing and commissioning activities to ensure compliance with approved procedures and project standards.

• Identify quality issues, raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.

• Maintain inspection records, test reports, quality documentation, and project handover documents.

• Ensure mechanical works comply with applicable UAE regulations, relevant international standards, and project-specific requirements.

• Coordinate with project teams to resolve quality issues and ensure timely closure of inspection comments and non-conformities.

• Participate in internal and external quality audits and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

• Minimum 3 years of relevant UAE experience in mechanical QA/QC is mandatory.

• Experience in mechanical construction, MEP, or related engineering projects.

• Strong knowledge of mechanical installation, inspection, testing, and quality control procedures.

• Hands-on experience with ITPs, Method Statements, IRs, MIRs, NCRs, and quality documentation.

• Familiarity with applicable UAE construction regulations and relevant international standards.

• Good communication, documentation, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to coordinate effectively with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and project teams.
