QAQC MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Job Summary

Staunch Trading & Contracting is looking for an experienced QA/QC Mechanical Engineer to join a project team in Qatar. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in mechanical construction, inspection, quality control, and project documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and implement QA/QC procedures for mechanical works.

• Conduct inspections of mechanical installation and construction activities.

• Review drawings, specifications, ITPs, method statements, and inspection requirements.

• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, checklists, and quality documentation.

• Coordinate with construction teams, consultants, and clients for inspections and approvals.

• Ensure mechanical works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, and applicable standards.

• Identify quality issues and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.

• Monitor material inspections and ensure materials comply with approved specifications.

• Support testing, commissioning, and final inspection activities.

• Maintain proper QA/QC records and project documentation.

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant qualification.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant QA/QC Mechanical experience.

• Experience in Oil & Gas, EPC, industrial, or construction projects is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of mechanical inspection and quality control procedures.

• Familiarity with ITPs, method statements, inspection requests, and quality documentation.

• Qatar experience is preferred.

• Candidates with relevant client/project approvals will be an advantage.

• Valid QID and immediately available candidates are preferred.
