Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor (QS) – Civil Engineer to join our construction team in Dubai. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience working with a construction company in Dubai and possess strong knowledge of quantity surveying, cost estimation, project cost control, and contract administration for civil construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate quantity take-offs, BOQs (Bills of Quantities), and cost estimates for civil construction projects.

• Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to determine project quantities and costs.

• Prepare interim payment applications, progress claims, and final accounts.

• Monitor project costs, budgets, variations, and material quantities.

• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations and prepare cost comparisons.

• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, consultants, and subcontractors regarding project costs and variations.

• Prepare and submit variation claims, supporting documents, and other commercial reports.

• Assist with tender preparation, rate analysis, and contract documentation.

• Verify quantities of completed works and ensure accurate measurement and valuation.

• Maintain proper records of project costs, invoices, payments, and contractual documents.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Quantity Surveyor in a construction company in Dubai, UAE.

• Strong knowledge of civil construction works, BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, and cost estimation.

• Familiarity with UAE construction practices, contract documentation, and variation procedures.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD; experience with quantity surveying or estimation software is an advantage.

• Good analytical, negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.

• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple project requirements.

• Candidates must have relevant UAE construction industry experience.
