Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Role Description

This is a part-time, remote role for a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer. The role involves designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to validate the functionality, performance, and reliability of logistics-related software applications. Day-to-day tasks include creating and maintaining test cases, performing manual and automated testing, analyzing test results, and documenting defects with clear, actionable details. The engineer will collaborate with developers, product owners, and operations teams to refine requirements, improve test coverage, and support continuous integration and delivery processes. The position also includes contributing to QA standards, optimizing test frameworks, and helping ensure a high-quality user experience across Parzel’s systems.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in Quality Assurance and Software Testing, with experience ensuring software reliability and compliance with requirements.

• Ability to design, document, and manage Test Cases, including test planning, test execution, and test reporting.

• Hands-on experience with Manual Testing, including functional, regression, and exploratory testing in web or enterprise applications.

• Proficiency in QA Automation, including building and maintaining automated test suites using common frameworks and tools.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and defect tracking tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Jira, or similar).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on root-cause analysis.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to collaborate in a remote, cross-functional team environment.

• Relevant technical education or equivalent practical experience in software quality, computer science, engineering, or a related field.

• Experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation systems is beneficial but not required.
