Quality Assurance Engineer

Role Description**

This is a part-time remote role for a Quality Assurance Engineer. The Quality Assurance Engineer will design, maintain, and execute test cases to validate software functionality, performance, and usability. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing manual testing, documenting defects, collaborating with developers to reproduce and resolve issues, and ensuring adherence to quality assurance standards. The role involves creating clear test documentation, contributing to test planning, and participating in reviews to improve testing processes and product quality. The engineer will also help refine testing tools and workflows to support efficient, reliable software delivery in a distributed team environment.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Quality Assurance and Software Testing skills, with a clear understanding of QA methodologies and best practices.

• Candidates should possess practical experience in Test Execution and writing and maintaining Test Cases.

• Candidates should possess hands-on Manual Testing skills, including defect identification, reporting, and regression testing.

• Candidates should possess analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a structured approach to testing.

• Relevant experience in testing web or cloud-based applications and familiarity with basic testing tools (e.g., issue trackers, test management tools) is beneficial.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently in a remote setting, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams are required.

• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in software quality assurance, is preferred.
