Quality Assurance Technician

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for performing quality control activities for in process and finished good products in a cGMP production environment to ensure compliance with industry, company, customer, and regulatory standards. These processes include but are not limited to document and records management, change management, customer complaints, supplier quality management program, record and data repository, continuous improvement, quality reporting.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or any other Science related field or 2 years relevant experience.

  • Minimum one-year experience in manufacturing/quality GMP production setting.

Tasks/ Responsibilities

  • Inspection and testing of products and environment at all stages of the operation including capturing/acquiring data, analysing information, reporting results.

  • Auditing processes to ensure SOPs and other relevant documentation are being followed by employees are up to date and reporting results.

  • Corrective Action/Preventive Actions (CAPA) responsibilities include documenting internal issues, processing external issues, serving on the CAPA team, and validating compliance.

  • Calibrations performing on quality-related equipment and gauges and otherwise assure measuring equipment is working properly.

  • Ensure proper line clearance compliance, quality start-ups and changeovers

  • Electronically and/or physically approve specifications and line work utilizing an ERP system.

  • Perform other duties assigned.

Skills

  • Ability to work overtime when necessary to meet TAT.

  • Extremely detail oriented

  • Ability to speak, read, and understand English

  • Ability to perform basic to intermediate mathematics, including unit conversions, percentages, and compilation of data.

  • Statistical Process Control (SPC) basic understanding of analytical methods and tools

  • ISO-9001 basic understanding

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week

  • High school or equivalent (Required)
