The Quality Control Technician I applies foundational technical Quality Assurance & Control knowledge to perform routine tasks while following established procedures and safety standards. The role resolves straightforward issues using predefined methods with limited discretion. Work impacts the quality and timeliness of individual outputs. The position operates under direct supervision on routine technical activities. The role takes ownership of assigned work and contributes to team goals.
**Repsonibilities: **

Performs routine quality assurance tests on materials, samples, and equipment by following established laboratory procedures and direct instruction.

Assists with sample preparation, test setup, and basic measurements to support accurate and timely completion of quality checks.

Monitors laboratory equipment and test conditions for basic operating issues and reports irregularities to senior technicians or supervisors.

Records test results, equipment readings, and sample information in logs or designated systems using standard documentation practices.

Supports calibration, cleaning, and basic maintenance of laboratory equipment to help maintain reliable test conditions and equipment readiness.

Compares test outcomes to established specifications and highlights out-of-range or unusual results for review by more experienced staff.

Follows laboratory safety requirements, handling procedures, and quality standards while completing assigned testing activities.

Learns laboratory methods, equipment functions, quality requirements, and documentation standards to build proficiency in quality testing work.

Performs other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications: **

Entry level position with little or no prior relevant training or work experience

Requires a High School Diploma/GED.

Ability to perform defined technical tasks with limited autonomy, applying foundational knowledge while following established procedures and safety standards.

Ability to resolve straightforward day-to-day technical issues using predefined methods; escalates most issues to supervisor/manager as needed.

Ability to follow standardized procedures and practices; works under close supervision with regular instruction and guidance.

Ability to communicate routine technical information that may require minimal explanation or clarification.
