Position Overview:
Join our team and help us build in 2026! In this role, you'll work as part of a team to inspect materials and products for conformance to customer specifications. You and the team will work together to support production to delight our customers and deliver, reliably and on time to customer demand. You'll provide feedback on ways to make the operation safer and more productive every day!
The Quality Control Technician position works closely with manufacturing and engineering to ensure the highest level of quality products โ starting from receipt of incoming parts, through the assembly operation, and finally with final inspection before shipping to the customer. The individual in this role will actively participate in documentation creation and review, finding root causes for repeat quality issues, working autonomously to constantly improve productivity. The successful candidate must be an individual who can multi-task and perform various inspection-related activities in a manner that complies with all company requirements and ISO standards with little supervision.

Shift:
The Fredericktown, Ohio facility operates on a 4x10 schedule with two shifts. We are currently hiring for the first shift which has a 5:00am to 3:30pm schedule.
What you bring to the table:

Monitor the current production processes to ensure high and stable quality levels

Trace and optimize operational sequences to increase effectiveness and efficiency in production process

Work with production to solve customer/product issues as necessary

Initiate corrective actions, and monitor and check the effectiveness of corrective actions

Verify processes are meeting customer specifications per standards

Conduct internal process audits and prepare audit reports when needed

Process Customer complaints until closure

Lead problem solving teams to help resolve assembly line issues, including helping with implementation, to eliminate process inconsistency

Control measurement gages

Conduct PPAP evaluation

Evaluate production samples for conformance to specifications

Approves non-conformances and processing of same

Customer RMA evaluation and disposition

Initiates investigation of non-conformances at assembly line and provides information to the QAM

Track parts in VISUAL from the daily scrap sheet, marking per company standards

Warranty EVAL as assigned

Support the scrap process as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (basic requirements):
-
Requires physical ability and stamina to perform the essential functions of the position, including the ability to walk, stand, lift, carry up to 40 pounds, push, kneel, bend, stoop, reach over and under waist level, twist for extended periods of time on cement or other hard surfaces, etc.

Demonstrates the verbal and written communication and computer skills necessary to complete documentation of processes and effectively engage with various levels of peers across the organization.

HS Diploma or equivalent; two-year certification from technical school preferred.

Ability to work independently to learn the processes, execute the daily work and explore root cause and solutions for issues as they arise.
Working Conditions:
Work is regularly performed in a combination of office and shop environments and is regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes and noise. Minimal travel is expected for this position.
