Job description
Reliance Machine Company is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Quality Technician to support our manufacturing operations. The Quality Technician will inspect products and processes, perform measurements and testing, document quality results, and help ensure that products meet customer, engineering, and company requirements.
The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, good problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively with production, engineering, and quality teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities

Preform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of manufactured products.

Use precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools.

Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and quality standards.

Record inspection results accurately and maintain required quality documentation.

Identify, document, and communicate product or process nonconformances.

Assist with root-cause investigations and corrective/preventative actions.

Support production teams in resolving quality issues and preventing defects.

Perform sampling, testing, and dimensional inspections as required.

Assist with calibration and control of inspection equipment.

Participate in audits, continuous-improvement activities, and quality projects.

Follow established safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Perform other quality-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
-
Previous experience in manufacturing, quality inspection, or a related technical environment preferred.

Ability to read interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Experience using basic inspection and measurement tools.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to identify problems, gather information, and assist with solutions.

Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and similar software.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with production and engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.

Familiarity with SPC, MSA, CAPA, or root-cause analysis.

Experience with GD&T.

Experience using CMMs or other advanced inspection equipment.

Previous experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements
-
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout a manufacturing facility for extended periods.

Ability to safely handle materials and inspection equipment.
Pay depends on experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
