Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our construction team. The successful candidate will assist with quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, cost estimation, site measurements, and project cost control. This position is ideal for fresh graduates who wish to develop their skills and build a career in quantity surveying and construction management.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing quantity take-offs from architectural, structural, and civil drawings.

• Support the preparation and checking of Bills of Quantities (BOQs).

• Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents under the supervision of senior staff.

• Assist in preparing material quantity calculations and cost estimates.

• Coordinate with site engineers to verify completed work quantities.

• Assist in preparing interim payment applications and subcontractor payment assessments.

• Maintain quantity records, measurement sheets, and project documentation.

• Assist in identifying and measuring variations and changes in project scope.

• Support the preparation of cost reports and budget tracking.

• Coordinate with procurement and site teams regarding material quantities and requirements.

• Perform site visits when required to measure and verify construction activities.

• Carry out other quantity surveying duties assigned by the senior quantity surveyor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

• Basic knowledge of construction drawings, BOQs, and quantity calculations.

• Knowledge of construction materials and measurement methods is an advantage.

Required Technical Skills

• Basic proficiency in Plan swift, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and reading construction drawings.

• Familiarity with quantity take-off and cost estimation is preferred.

• Knowledge of PlanSwift, CostX, or similar software is an advantage.
