Quantity Surveyor – Major Hospitality Development, Qatar

We are seeking an experienced

Quantity Surveyor / QS Consultant

for a major mixed-use development project in Qatar, working as part of the main contractor's project team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and submit

  monthly Interim Payment Applications (IPAs)

  with supporting documentation

• Measure and verify

  quantities of work executed

  and prepare interim valuations

• Review and verify

  subcontractor and supplier payment applications

  against LPOs, subcontracts, BOQs, and approved quantities

• Monitor project costs against approved budgets and identify

  cost variances

• Prepare and review

  BOQs, quantity take-offs, rate analysis, and cost estimates

• Review and assess

  variations, additional works, and claims

  , including quantity and cost implications

• Maintain accurate

  commercial and cost records

  throughout the project

• Assist in preparation of

  monthly commercial and cost reports

• Support

  subcontract administration, commercial negotiations, and reconciliation

• Assist with

  final account preparation and settlement

  of subcontractor accounts

• Coordinate with the

  Planning, Commercial, QA/QC, HSE, Billing, Procurement, and site teams

  to ensure alignment of quantities, valuations, and project costs

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in

  Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline

• 8–10 years of experience

  in Quantity Surveying / Commercial roles on large-scale construction projects

• Strong experience in

  interim payments, valuations, quantity measurement, cost control, variations, and claims

• Good understanding of

  BOQs, LPOs, subcontracts, construction contracts, and payment procedures

• Strong proficiency in

  MS Excel and MS Office

  ; experience with QS/commercial software is an advantage

• Experience in

  hospitality, high-rise, mixed-use, or infrastructure projects

  preferred

• Strong analytical, numerical, coordination, and communication skills

• Qatar / GCC experience

  preferred

• Valid Qatar NOC / transferable residence visa preferred

• Immediate availability strongly preferred
