Job Description – MEP Quantity Surveyor

Company: MAP Nexgen General Contracting L.L.C.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor with a minimum of 5 years of UAE experience in the construction industry. The candidate must have strong knowledge of MEP systems, quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, cost estimation, cost control, and contract administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare BOQs, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates for HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and electrical works.

  • Review MEP drawings, specifications, and tender documents.

  • Prepare tender submissions, cost breakdowns, and budget estimates.

  • Monitor project costs, budgets, and expenditures.

  • Prepare and evaluate variation orders, claims, and additional works.

  • Review subcontractor quotations and prepare price comparison statements.

  • Prepare interim payment applications and verify subcontractor invoices.

  • Conduct site measurements and verify completed works.

  • Prepare and settle final accounts with clients and subcontractors.

  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.

  • Maintain accurate commercial records and cost reports.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of UAE experience as an MEP Quantity Surveyor.

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, drainage, and electrical systems.

  • Experience in BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, cost control, variations, and final accounts.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and quantity surveying software.

  • Good communication, negotiation, and coordination skills.

  • Immediate joining is mandatory.
