Role Description

This is a

full-time, on-site Quantity Surveyor

role based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing the commercial and cost-control aspects of

interior design, fit-out, and construction projects

, ensuring accurate project costing, budget management, and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

The role will involve preparing and reviewing

Bills of Quantities (BOQ), quantity take-offs, detailed measurements, cost estimates, tender documentation, and project budgets

. The Quantity Surveyor will monitor project expenditures against approved budgets, prepare regular cost reports, evaluate variations and claims, and support commercial negotiations with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.

The successful candidate will work closely with the

Design, Estimation, Procurement, Project Management, Engineering, and Site Teams

to verify quantities, assess project requirements, identify cost implications, and maintain effective cost-control procedures. The role also requires strong knowledge of

UAE construction and fit-out practices, subcontractor measurement, variation evaluation, and final account preparation

.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of proven UAE work experience as a Quantity Surveyor

  , with strong and relevant experience specifically in

  Interior Design, Fit-Out, Joinery, and Construction projects

  .

• UAE experience is mandatory

  , preferably with established interior design, fit-out, contracting, or construction companies.

• Strong practical knowledge of

  interior fit-out works

  , including architectural finishes, joinery, ceilings, flooring, partitions, doors, MEP coordination, and associated construction works.

• Proven expertise in

  BOQ preparation, quantity take-off, detailed measurement, rate analysis, cost estimation, and tender pricing

  .

• Strong experience in

  cost control, cost planning, budget monitoring, and project cost management

  from pre-contract through to project completion.

• Ability to prepare and maintain

  accurate cost reports, valuation reports, payment applications, variation orders, claims, and final accounts

  .

• Experienced in

  evaluating subcontractor quotations, comparing commercial proposals, reviewing invoices, and verifying work progress and quantities for payment certification

  .

• Strong knowledge and practical experience in

  variation assessment, change orders, additional works, omissions, and commercial negotiations

  .

• Ability to review drawings, specifications, scope of work, and contract documents to identify quantity and cost implications.

• Strong understanding of

  UAE market rates, construction materials, subcontractor pricing, and local fit-out practices

  .

• Proficient in

  Microsoft Excel

  and other QS/cost-estimation software; strong ability to develop and maintain detailed cost-control and tracking sheets.

• Relevant

  Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field

  is preferred.

• Strong analytical, numerical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, designers, project managers, and site teams.

• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet strict deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced

  interior fit-out environment

• Candidates without a minimum of 7 years of relevant UAE Quantity Surveying experience in Interior Design/Fit-Out projects will not be considered.

• Immediate or short-notice availability will be an advantage.
