What you'll be doing

As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver safe, person-centred and evidence-informed nursing care while working collaboratively with patients, families, carers and the broader healthcare team. You will bring your clinical judgement, organisation and communication skills to a role where every shift offers an opportunity to learn and make a difference.

  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care to achieve identified patient outcomes.

  • Deliver quality, timely and culturally appropriate care to patients with complex health needs.

  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation, care plans, progress notes and referrals.

  • Manage competing clinical priorities and organise your workload within a dynamic acute-care environment.

  • Promote evidence-based practice, quality improvement and a culture of open communication and teamwork.

Essential Requirements:

  • Registration: Currently authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Selection Criteria:

  • Recent experience in Intensive Care environment or relevant experiences in an acute/ COU inpatient area as deemed appropriate by WSLHD

  • Ability to work a rotating 7 day roster to meet clinical demands of busy quaternary Intensive Care Service

  • Effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients

  • Excellent time management and organisation skills with attention to detail

  • Evidence of computer literacy and understanding of relevant health related information systems
