Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Registered Nurse role based in Berlin, Germany. The Registered Nurse will provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions, while following evidence-based practices and facility protocols. Responsibilities include administering medications and treatments, monitoring vital signs, maintaining accurate medical records, and coordinating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to support safe and effective care. The nurse will educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and health promotion, while advocating for patient needs and dignity. Additional duties include adhering to infection control and safety standards, participating in quality improvement initiatives, and supporting new staff or trainees as needed.
Qualifications

Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, with eligibility for recognition or registration in Germany; nursing degree (Bachelorโs or equivalent) from an accredited institution.

Demonstrated clinical nursing skills in patient assessment, care planning, medication administration, and use of electronic health records.

Experience working in hospital, clinic, or long-term care settings, preferably in acute or specialized care (e.g., medical-surgical, critical care, geriatrics).

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary, multicultural teams and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.

Ability to work full-time rotating shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the unit.

Proficiency in English (spoken and written); willingness to learn or improve German language skills to meet clinical and regulatory requirements.

Familiarity with infection prevention, patient safety standards, and quality improvement practices in healthcare settings.

Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple patients and priorities while maintaining attention to detail and accurate documentation.

CPR/BLS certification (and ACLS or other relevant certifications preferred, depending on specialty).

Openness to professional development, including training for international practice standards and cultural adaptation support provided by TerraTern.
