Remote Cybersecurity Intern
Elysium Cyber
Job description
Company Description
Elysium Cyber is a cybersecurity consulting firm specializing in federal and enterprise security solutions. We provide detection engineering, compliance consulting, and on-demand security engineering to organizations strengthening their cybersecurity posture.
About the Program
This is a paid (for purchase), structured engagement program designed for career switchers, recent grads, current students, and candidates with limited prior experience who are trying to break into cybersecurity but keep hitting the “needs experience” wall.
Participants work through a real cloud security engagement on AWS alongside our team in a fully remote, self-paced format. The engagement covers AWS security architecture, IAM and access control, network security, logging and monitoring, incident response, and compliance frameworks—the core areas cloud security roles actually screen for.
Each engagement ends with a capstone deliverable you can put on your resume, add to your portfolio, and discuss in interviews.
For current university students, the program can also be structured to fulfill university internship or experiential learning requirements. We can work with students and their universities to provide required documentation, learning objectives, evaluations, or verification of participation where applicable. Students should confirm their university’s specific internship requirements and approval process before enrolling.
Why People Choose This Instead of a Bootcamp
Bootcamps teach you concepts. This program gives you actual cloud security engagement experience in a real AWS environment, with a portfolio artifact at the end, at a fraction of what a bootcamp costs.
For International Students
International students are welcome. Because this is a paid educational program rather than a traditional employment position, participants do not need to be hired as employees to participate. The engagement experience and portfolio deliverables can be used to strengthen your resume regardless of immigration status.
For students seeking university internship credit or fulfillment of an internship requirement, we can work with your university to provide supporting documentation and verification, subject to your school’s policies and approval.
