BASIC FUNCTION

The Reporting and Business Analyst develops, maintains, and analyzes financial and management reporting that supports informed decision-making across the Bank. The role partners with Reporting, Treasury, and Information Technology in gathering, processing and translating business requirements, validate data, improve reporting processes, and deliver reliable reporting and insights. The analyst also supports the Treasurer with certain Treasury functions through daily processes and reporting.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Gather, document, and validate business, data, and reporting requirements in partnership with Reporting, Treasury, and Information Technology stakeholders.

  • Prepare daily / weekly / monthly source files for the Qlik coming from Prologue / CVIEW

  • Create and maintain Prologue / CVIEW queries / ALCO applications to be used for financial reporting.

  • Review and analyze daily reports for accuracy and correctness.

  • Assist in monitoring daily cash positions, ensuring the bank meets all operational requirements.

  • Assist and support financial modeling and reporting to support Treasury

  • Assist and perform model reviews of assumptions, back testing, and tuning.

  • Participate in and execute system application improvement and automation efforts for various systems.

  • Assist in the execution of Treasury transactions.

  • Identify manual bottlenecks in reporting/treasury workflows and design automated solutions ensuring seamless integration between core banking system and treasury modules.

  • Assist in maintaining department procedures.

  • Ensuring all responsibilities are carried out in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and organizational policies, maintaining the highest standards of ethical and legal compliance.

  • Performs other duties as required.

Education/Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Management Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.

Experience:

Two to four years of experience in accounting, treasury, financial reporting, financial analysis, or a related banking function is preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in system applications, such as Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel and PowerPoint), ALCO models, SQL, VBA/Power query and BI Tools such as Tableau/PowerBI/Qlik

  • Experience with financial modeling and techniques

  • Analytical and data gathering skills

  • Ability to translate jargon between business lines and information technology groups

  • Excellent problem-solving analytical skills, detail-orientation, independent thinking, and organizational skills
