Safety Officer

Dynatrade Automotive Group is looking for an experienced Facility Engineer / Safety Officer to oversee facility maintenance operations, manage MEP systems, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards across its facilities.

The ideal candidate must have a strong engineering background, hands-on experience in MEP maintenance and facilities management, and a valid NEBOSH certification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily facility operations and maintenance activities, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and building services.

• Plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure the reliability and efficient operation of facility equipment and systems.

• Conduct regular workplace inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with applicable UAE regulations.

• Implement and monitor health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and safe working practices.

• Ensure maintenance activities are performed in accordance with approved risk assessments, method statements, and permit-to-work procedures.

• Monitor compliance with lockout/tagout (LOTO), working-at-height requirements, and other relevant safety controls.

• Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses, prepare reports, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

• Ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of tools, machinery, and maintenance equipment.

• Monitor fire safety systems, emergency preparedness, evacuation procedures, and emergency response arrangements.

• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions for employees, technicians, and contractors.

• Coordinate with contractors, maintenance teams, and department heads to ensure safe and efficient execution of facility-related activities.

• Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with company safety requirements and applicable regulations.

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, safety inspections, risk assessments, incident reports, and compliance documentation.

• Identify opportunities to improve facility performance, maintenance efficiency, and workplace safety standards.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.

• NEBOSH certification is mandatory.

• 5–10 years of relevant experience in MEP maintenance, facilities management, and occupational health and safety.

• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, facility maintenance, risk assessment, and HSE compliance.

• Familiarity with UAE health and safety regulations and workplace compliance requirements.

• Excellent communication, coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to coordinate multiple maintenance activities and ensure adherence to safety standards.
