Sales Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sales Engineer with a Mechanical Engineering background and strong consultancy exposure to drive business development and technical sales within the engineering/construction sector. The ideal candidate combines mechanical engineering expertise with commercial acumen to identify opportunities, build client relationships, and support project pursuits from a technical sales perspective.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within target markets/sectors

• Provide technical consultation to clients on mechanical engineering solutions, products, or services (e.g., HVAC, MEP systems, mechanical equipment)

• Prepare and present technical proposals, quotations, and tender documentation

• Liaise with consultants, contractors, and clients to understand project requirements and specifications

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders (consultants, contractors, developers)

• Collaborate with internal engineering and project teams to align technical offerings with client needs

• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and project opportunities in the region

• Support contract negotiations and close sales in line with company targets

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

• 7–10 years of relevant experience in technical/engineering sales

• Prior experience working with a consultancy firm is required

• Proven track record in business development within the GCC, ideally Qatar

• Strong understanding of local market dynamics, tendering processes, and client relationships (consultants, contractors, developers)

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

• Valid Qatar driving license preferred

• Immediate availability / notice period ready to join
