About the Role:

The Sales Engineer will serve as a critical link between our manufacturing capabilities and customer needs, driving business growth through technical expertise and solution-oriented sales strategies. This role requires a deep understanding of electromechanical design, sheet metal work, and fabrication processes to effectively communicate product capabilities and tailor solutions to client requirements. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with engineering, production, and sales teams to develop proposals and presentations that address complex technical challenges. By leveraging their knowledge in electronics and pre-sales activities, the Sales Engineer will identify opportunities, build strong customer relationships, and support the sales cycle from initial contact through contract negotiation. Ultimately, this position aims to increase market share and customer satisfaction by delivering innovative, cost-effective manufacturing solutions within the United States market.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • Proven experience in sales and engineering within the manufacturing industry, specifically involving sheet metal work and electromechanical design.

  • Strong understanding of fabrication processes and electronics as they relate to product development and manufacturing.

  • Demonstrated ability in solution selling and pre-sales support activities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and internal teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working within the United States manufacturing market.

  • Familiarity with CAD software and other design tools used in electromechanical and sheet metal fabrication.

  • Previous success in managing complex sales cycles and closing technical sales deals.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with potential and existing clients to understand their technical requirements and provide customized manufacturing solutions.

  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop and present detailed proposals, including electromechanical and sheet metal design aspects.

  • Conduct pre-sales activities such as product demonstrations, technical presentations, and solution selling to support the sales team.

  • Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, bids, and contract negotiations to ensure alignment with customer expectations and company capabilities.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, manufacturing technologies, and competitor products to effectively position our offerings.

Skills:

The required skills such as sheet metal work, electromechanical design, and fabrication are essential for understanding the technical aspects of the products and solutions offered, enabling the Sales Engineer to communicate effectively with both clients and internal teams. Sales engineering and pre-sales skills are applied daily to identify customer needs, develop tailored solutions, and support the sales process through technical presentations and demonstrations. Solution selling techniques help the candidate to position complex manufacturing products in a way that highlights their value and addresses client challenges. Electronics knowledge is crucial for discussing product specifications and ensuring compatibility with customer systems. Preferred skills like CAD proficiency and familiarity with industry standards enhance the ability to collaborate with engineering teams and ensure that proposed solutions meet both technical and regulatory requirements.
