This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sales Engineer (SouthEast) based in United States.
As a Sales Engineer, you will serve as a trusted technical partner throughout complex Mid-Market and Enterprise sales cycles. You will work closely with Account Executives to uncover customer needs, qualify technical requirements, and position solutions around measurable business outcomes. The role combines cybersecurity expertise, consultative discovery, technical demonstrations, and proof-of-value engagements. You will translate complex security concepts into clear recommendations for both technical practitioners and executive stakeholders. You will also remain engaged beyond the close to support technical continuity, adoption, and expansion opportunities. This is an opportunity to influence high-value customer decisions while collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Marketing teams in a fast-moving cybersecurity environment.
Accountabilities

Partner closely with Account Executives on Mid-Market and Enterprise opportunities, supporting discovery, solution positioning, technical qualification, and validation throughout the sales cycle.

Lead structured discovery sessions to understand customer infrastructure, security maturity, compliance requirements, risk priorities, and technical challenges.

Deliver tailored, outcome-driven product demonstrations and Proof-of-Value (PoV) engagements that connect platform capabilities to customer risk reduction, operational efficiency, and business impact.

Translate technical capabilities and security findings into clear business value for both cybersecurity practitioners and executive decision-makers.

Own technical deal strategy by addressing objections, navigating technical concerns, supporting competitive positioning, and helping move opportunities toward successful outcomes.

Maintain continuity across the customer lifecycle by staying engaged with key accounts, monitoring evolving technical needs, reinforcing value realization, and identifying appropriate expansion opportunities.

Support post-sale technical continuity by facilitating effective handoffs, reinforcing initial value, and maintaining alignment between executives, practitioners, and internal teams.

Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Product Marketing to share customer feedback and help improve product direction, positioning, demos, and technical resources.

Contribute to internal enablement and knowledge sharing by refining demo flows, technical assets, playbooks, and best practices for Mid-Market and Enterprise engagements.

Build strong, trust-based relationships with customers and consistently structure technical engagements around measurable outcomes and customer value.
Requirements

5+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or similar customer-facing technical role, ideally within cybersecurity or infrastructure.

Located in the Southeast region of the United States.

Proven experience supporting Mid-Market or Enterprise customers, balancing technical depth with executive-level engagement.

Strong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, including threat landscapes, vulnerability management, identity, cloud environments, and Active Directory (AD).

Demonstrated ability to simplify complex technical concepts and communicate their business relevance to both technical practitioners and executive stakeholders.

Experience leading structured Proof-of-Value engagements and managing technical validation cycles through the sales process.

Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across Sales, Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Marketing.

Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where priorities can evolve quickly and initiative is highly valued.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Annual On-Target Earnings (OTE) of $195,000–$270,000 , based on a 70/30 base salary-to-variable compensation split .
