Salesforce Apex Senior Technical Lead

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Apex Senior Technical Lead to lead the design, development, customization, and implementation of Salesforce solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Salesforce Apex, Lightning, Visualforce, configuration, customization, and third-party integrations

The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions and provide technical leadership throughout the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Salesforce Development & Technical Leadership

Lead the design and development of Salesforce solutions aligned with business objectives.
Develop scalable and maintainable solutions using Apex, Lightning, Visualforce, and Salesforce platform capabilities

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Salesforce developers.
Review technical designs, code, and development standards.
Ensure solutions follow Salesforce best practices and governance standards.
Participate in architecture and technical design discussions.

Apex Development

Develop and maintain Apex Classes, Triggers, Batch Apex, Queueable Apex, Scheduled Apex, and asynchronous processes

Implement complex business logic using Apex.
Optimize Apex code for scalability, bulk processing, and platform governor limits.
Develop reusable and maintainable technical components.
Troubleshoot and resolve production and performance issues.

Salesforce Lightning

Develop and customize Lightning Components and Lightning Experience solutions.
Work with Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Aura where applicable.
Customize Salesforce user experiences based on business requirements.
Build reusable UI components and integrate them with Apex services.

Salesforce Configuration & Customization

Configure Salesforce objects, fields, relationships, validation rules, flows, approval processes, page layouts, profiles, permission sets, and security settings.
Customize Salesforce functionality to meet business requirements.
Evaluate declarative versus programmatic solutions and select the appropriate approach.
Support data model and application design decisions.

Integrations

Design and implement integrations between Salesforce and third-party applications.
Work with REST/SOAP APIs, Web Services, Platform Events, and other Salesforce integration capabilities

Develop Apex-based integration solutions where required.
Collaborate with integration teams to define interface specifications and data flows.
Troubleshoot integration failures and data synchronization issues.

Technical Design & Solution Architecture

Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Prepare technical design documents and solution specifications.
Identify technical dependencies, risks, and integration requirements.
Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
Participate in code reviews and technical governance.

Testing & Deployment

Develop unit tests and ensure appropriate Apex test coverage.
Support system integration testing, UAT, regression testing, and production deployment.
Troubleshoot defects and production issues.
Work with deployment and release teams to support Salesforce releases.
Follow established Salesforce development and change-management processes.

Collaboration & Communication

Collaborate with business analysts, Salesforce administrators, architects, QA teams, integration teams, and business stakeholders.
Participate in requirements discussions, design sessions, and technical workshops.
Clearly communicate technical solutions, risks, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Required Technical Skills

Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce Development

Advanced Salesforce Apex development experience.
Strong knowledge of Salesforce Lightning

Experience with Lightning Web Components (LWC)

Strong knowledge of Visualforce

.
Experience with Salesforce configuration and customization.
Strong understanding of Salesforce data model and security.
Experience with Salesforce integrations and third-party systems.
Strong knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs and web services.
Experience with Apex Triggers, Classes, Batch Apex, Queueable Apex, and asynchronous processing.
Understanding of Salesforce governor limits and performance optimization.
Experience with Salesforce testing and deployment practices.

Preferred Qualifications

Salesforce Platform Developer certification preferred.
Salesforce Platform Developer II certification is a plus.
Experience working in enterprise Salesforce environments.
Experience leading Salesforce development teams.
Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture and development best practices.
Experience with CI/CD and Salesforce DevOps tools is a plus.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies preferred.
