- About the Opportunity:
The Scrum Master role is designed to lead and coach multiple Agile teams within a scaled Agile environment. This position is responsible for facilitating Agile ceremonies, removing impediments, coordinating across teams, and supporting the timely delivery of quality products. The role contributes to improving team efficiency and effectiveness, enabling successful planning, development, testing, and deployment of solutions.
- Responsibilities:
• Coach and lead Agile teams within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
• Facilitate team planning, PI objectives, sprint planning, retrospectives, and demos
• Collaborate with product owners and business analysts for backlog refinement
• Identify and remove impediments to enhance team efficiency
• Maintain metrics to monitor team performance and areas for improvement
• Perform capacity planning for iterations and increments
• Coordinate dependencies across teams and with stakeholders
• Liaise with architects, cybersecurity experts, and other stakeholders to ensure quality communication
• Manage product releases and dependencies
• Support product roadmap development
• Drive continuous improvement to elevate team performance
• Develop and refine processes to boost quality and productivity
• Engage actively in Agile communities of practice
• Ensure appropriate staffing and work allocation for assigned epics and features
• Provide guidance to meet technical performance and business goals
• Ensure product quality and timely delivery
- Requirements:
• Active Secret Clearance
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with seven years of related experience
• Certified Scrum Master or Certified SAFe Scrum Master with significant experience coaching Scrum teams
• Minimum of three years leading teams using Agile Scrum or Scaled Agile approaches
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle including planning, requirements management, configuration management, quality assurance, and release management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-starter with strong work ethic and team orientation
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to pass IT-1 background investigation
Desired:
• Advanced SAFe certifications (e.g., SAFe Advanced Scrum Master, SAFe Practitioner)
• Experience with continuous deployment models
• Ability to apply advanced principles and contribute to innovation
- Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• The proposed salary range for this position is: $75,200 to $158,100
