Texas A&M's IT Security and Risk department is hiring Security Analysts each with a specific focus depending upon the teams mission as described below. You will have an opportunity to tell us more about which team you would be most interested in and why!Ā 

** What we want **

We are recruiting for all levels of Security Analysts and our immediate needs are for Security Analysts I, II and Ill positions.Ā 

Minimum qualifications for an Security Analysts l: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience and f ** our months of related experience. **

Minimum qualifications for an Security Analysts II: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience and three full years of related experience. ** Minimum qualification for an Security Analysts lll:Ā  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience and five full years of related experience.**

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • a blend of hands-on technical expertise, knowledge of security frameworks and policies, and analytical thinking.

  • Soft skills like communication, collaboration, and the ability to translate technical details for non-technical audiences are also key for this role.

*Compensation and classification is based on the analyses of the above qualifications during the recruitment process.

Salary: Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire’s experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications. Knowledge of intermediate troubleshooting, client relations, and the Information Technology Interface Library (ITIL).

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

  • This position is security sensitive.

  • This position requires compliance with state and federal laws/codes and Texas A&M University System/TAMU policies, regulations, rules and procedures.

  • All tasks and job responsibilities must be performed safely without injury to self or others in compliance with System and University safety requirements.

  • Works to cover shifts, or take emergency call, on evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
