Job description

About AGI

Advanced Giga Inc. designs, fabricates, and deploys modular data center infrastructure for hyperscale operators. Our flagship products, the MDH (Modular Data Hall), MTCS (Modular Technology Cooling System), and MES (Modular Electrical System) are factory-built, tested, and commissioned before they ever leave our facility. We are not a general contractor. We are an engineering-led manufacturer that owns the full lifecycle: design, fabrication, controls integration, factory acceptance testing, delivery, and on-site commissioning. Our clients include the largest cloud infrastructure providers in the world.

We are a small, high-impact team where your decisions directly shape outcomes on programs worth tens of millions of dollars. If you have spent your career inside large organizations and are looking for a place where your experience actually gets used, not diluted across layers of bureaucracy, this is it.

The Role

AGI is hiring a Senior Accountant to own the accounting function for a company that builds like a manufacturer and bills like a contractor. Our work runs through fabrication shops and construction sites: purchase orders to fab shops, subcontractor invoices, milestone billing against multi-phase fixed-price contracts, and job costs that have to land on the right project and the right discipline. That is why construction and manufacturing accounting experience is a requirement for this role, not a preference.

This is a hands-on position, and we want to be direct about that: you will personally process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expenses every week—and you will also own the close, the reconciliations, and the job-cost reporting built on top of them. You are the accounting department. There is no team beneath this role. If you want to run the numbers of a fast-growing infrastructure manufacturer end to end, and you don't consider entering an invoice beneath you, this is a rare seat.

What You Will Actually Do

•

Process accounts payable end to end

—vendor and fabrication-shop bills matched against purchase orders, coded to the right project and cost account, and staged into payment runs

•

Own accounts receivable

—prepare milestone invoices per contract billing schedules, track submission windows, and follow up on collections

•

Process employee expense reports and company credit-card activity

, including clearing an existing backlog and keeping cards reconciled monthly

•

Run the month-end close yourself

—bank and credit-card reconciliations, accruals, and books that tie to the bank every month

•

Build and maintain job costing

—cost by project and by engineering discipline (mechanical, electrical, controls, structural), so leadership can see margin project by project

•

Produce project cost and WIP reporting

on a schedule leadership can rely on

•

Keep the chart of accounts disciplined

as transaction volume grows—clean coding, consistent classes, no drift

•

Reconcile payroll

—payroll itself runs well today; keeping it reconciled to the ledger is yours

•

Apply the revenue recognition policy

for long-duration, milestone-billed contracts (a specialist firm supports the policy; you own applying it) and bring the books to a standard an outside firm could review

Who You Are

•

5+ years of accounting experience in construction, industrial or engineered-to-order manufacturing, or EPC environments—this is required.

You have lived with job costing, WIP, progress or milestone billing, retention, and purchase-order-driven payables, and you understand how a business earns revenue across a long build rather than at a point of sale

•    You have personally run full-cycle AP and AR and closed a set of books end to end—not supervised someone else doing it, and not owned one section of a larger close

•    Exposure to percentage-of-completion or milestone-based revenue recognition

•    Proficient in QuickBooks Online and strong in Excel

•    Comfortable being the sole accounting professional in the company—you set the process, you work the volume, and you flag what leadership needs to see

•    Organized and exact under volume—the kind of person who notices when a number doesn't tie and doesn't let it go

Preferred (Not Required)

•    CPA or CMA

•    Experience at an engineered-to-order manufacturer, specialty subcontractor, or EPC firm billing fixed-price contracts by milestone

•    Construction or job-cost accounting systems (Sage 300 CRE, Foundation, Viewpoint, or similar) alongside QuickBooks

•    Experience applying ASC 606 to long-duration contracts

•    Experience setting up or cleaning up accounting processes at a growing company

What We Offer

•    Base salary: $90,000 - $115,000

•    Ownership of your domain—you build the accounting function, you set the processes, and leadership will actually use what you produce

•    Direct impact at a high-growth company at the intersection of manufacturing and critical infrastructure

•    A technical leadership team that speaks your language (engineering-led company, not sales-led)

•    The chance to build something from a formative stage—this is not a mature organization with established playbooks. We are building those playbooks, and the right person will help write them
